Angel Joy Abejar is a photographer, visual artist, art conservation framer, and licensed hairstylist from Long Island, New York. Angel has always been passionate and involved in the arts from a young age. Originally starting her journey in the performing arts as a ballerina, she has many opportunities to explore her talents by having the honor to audition for companies such as X-box Kinect, Sears, JC Penny, John Robert Power Acting and Modeling, and a multiple of stock photo companies. Angel has since then grown a budding passion for the visual arts and rather be behind the scenes. She has perfected her talents in various mediums and forms. Angel's work has had the honor to be showcased at the Parish Art Museum of South Hampton, New York in 2014, Gallery West at Suffolk County Community College as a part of a student exhibition in 2016, has had the honor of participating in “fashion week boot camp” at The New York Institute of Beauty 2019, won recognition and special praise for her group art project/social experiment “I Wish Someone Knew” 2016, has won academic awards for excelling in the arts beyond the high school level, and has even done work for established companies such as Island Elite and Setauket Frame Shop, One of Long Island’s well known and longest running frame shops, with work being done for associations such as Stonybrook Medicine, Stonybrook Athletics, East Setauket Fire Department, and more…With a never-ending creative mind, Angel is always coming up with new ideas to bring to life.
Currently, Angel is attending Suny Old Westbury to earn her bachelor’s in fine art.
